Sylvia Macias, Attorney at Law 

Sylvia Macias attended Los Angeles City College after high school transferring to Cal State University, Los Angeles, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. She went to Southwestern Law School where she was a member of the prestigious Moot Court Honors program and received a Juris Doctorate degree. After practicing civil litigation, including employment law for 10 years, she joined Los Angeles Pierce College as a compliance administrator. 

Currently at the Los Angeles Community College District as a District Compliance Officer, Dr. Macias manages the District’s Project MATCH program and is the EEO Training Administrator. Dr. Macias is licensed to practice law in the State of California and the U.S. Federal District Courts.  She enjoys traveling with her husband George, spending time with family and friends, and taking walks with the family dog, “Jake.",  the sweetest German Shepherd ever.
